For mint and candy brands, the biggest risk is inconsistency across batches. We focus on preventing: color deviation, scratches, loose lids, edge burrs, and rust spots.
A. Incoming Inspection (Raw Materials)
B. In-Process QC (During Production)
C. Pre-Shipment QC (Before Loading)
If you already have an artwork file (AI/PDF Format), we offer two options before we make the physical sample.
Option 1 – 3D effect drawing (Visual Mockup)
We put your artwork on our die-line and make the effect drawing. You can check the result on your computer or phone, including the embossing/debossing part. This step will be finished within 8 hours after we receive your artwork.
Option 2 – Plastic 3D mockup (Physical Mockup)
This is for new tooling projects. Mold accuracy is very important. We print a plastic mockup based on the die-line. You can check the exact size and test your product inside. It helps you avoid expensive mold mistakes (tooling can cost thousands of USD). Lead time is about one week. The cost is around USD 200 and can be deducted from your future order. See details here.
01. Submit your requirements
Size, quantity, lid type, bottom type, printing/finish.
02. Artwork check
We check your file and confirm the print area, key details (colors, gloss/matte finish etc.), and embossing/debossing position.
03. 3D effect drawing or plastic mockup (your choice)
04. Pre-Production Sample (PPS) – about 14 days
We make a real tinplate sample using the same production line and process. You will check all details including:
Size (exact size and tolerance)
Color (CMYK/Pantone, gloss/matte finish)
Lid type – choose from eight options (see details and pictures here):
Bottom type – choose from three:
Printing & varnish – registration, gloss/matte area, scratch resistance
Embossing/debossing – position, depth, clarity
Inner coating – food-grade clear or custom color
We will share photos and send the Pre-Production Sample (PPS) to you by DHL/FedEx. You can check it by yourself.
05. Sample confirmation
You check the PPS. If everything is correct, we go to mass production. If you need changes, we will adjust and send a new PPS for you to confirm again.
06. Mass production & shipment
After you approve the PPS, we start mass production. Lead time is 25–35 days after PPS approval, depending on quantity.
