Custom Food Tins FAQ
Find answers about food-contact coatings, minimum order quantities, lead times, custom molds, samples, artwork, packing and payment terms for custom food tins.
What should be confirmed before using a tin for direct food contact?
Before confirming a food tin, review the food type, contact conditions, internal coating and relevant test reports. We can help check whether an available report matches your tin specification and intended use.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom food tins?
Our standard MOQ is 3,000–5,000 pieces per design, depending on the tin size and shape. Smaller trial orders may be available for selected existing molds.
What is your typical lead time for custom tin box production?
Custom samples usually take 10 to 15 days. Mass production generally takes 25 to 30 days after sample approval and deposit confirmation.
Can you create custom shapes, and do you have existing molds?
Yes. We have more than 3,000 existing molds covering a wide range of shapes and sizes. If no suitable mold is available, we can develop new tooling for your custom design.
Can I get a sample before ordering, and what is the cost?
Yes. Existing samples are free for quality checking; you only pay the shipping cost. Custom samples with your artwork require a sampling fee.
What artwork formats do you accept, and do you offer design templates?
We accept AI, PDF and PSD artwork files. We can provide the appropriate dieline template for your selected tin and review the artwork before printing.
How are food tins packed for shipping, and which trade terms do you support?
We pack food tins in export cartons with protective dividers or individual polybags as needed. Palletizing is available when required. We support FOB and CIF, and can discuss DAP or DDP based on the destination and order details.
What are your payment terms for bulk food tin orders?
Our standard payment terms are a 30% deposit before production, with the remaining 70% payable against a copy of the bill of lading.
